Jacquard weaving
In 2008 I was the lucky recipient of the George Mason Trust Scholarship that enabled me to go to England to study Jacquard weaving. There I worked on the old style mechanical Jacquard looms which helped me understand the principles of this type of weaving. A very time consuming part to weave on those looms is the making of the punched cards, a system that is the ancestory of todays computer.

Today I enjoy working on a digital Jacquard type loom, the TC-1 which was developed by Vibeke Vestby of Tronrud Engineering in Norway
